I have recently become a member of the AAA as of this week. I have now joined fellow local artists Jean Pritchard and Su Melville in being a member of this great association I can wait to be a part of.
The benefits will include annual meetings, annual exhibition opportunities and meeting fantastic animal artists from around the U.K. to name a few. Here is the website if you wish to have a nosy, associationanimalartists.co.uk. I'm looking forward to exhibiting some work like these hopefully, fingers and toes crossed!

I have been officially voted as the new Chairman of Ulverston Society of Artists. A position I will hopefully use to further improve the society's public awareness especially to a younger audience. I am probably one of the youngest members and I hope whilst working at Barrow 6th Form College I can promote the society to the students.
It would be great for students to attend demonstrations by artists from away, give them the opportunity to share ideas, tips and hints on working on art pieces and hopefully give them confidence to show their work in exhibitions. I believe the experimentation that my colleague and I encourage the students to do in their work would bring a new lease to the current work artists in the society and give the exhibitions a further diverse range of media, subject matter and quality. |
